| History | Fecal blood had been detected in a periodical health examination 1 year earlier. Although close examination was recommended, he did not follow up. In the present examination, fecal blood was detected again, and barium enema and colonoscopy were performed for close examination in a local hospital. A 0 IIa + IIc lesion (suspected submucosal invasion) was present in the distal portion of the sigmoid colon, and a 0 Ip lesion was detected 8 cm oral to this lesion. He was admitted to our hospital for treatment. |
